After a monotonous drive along Alligator Alley (We still have not seen a single alligator in Florida.) we arrived in Fort Lauderdale. We found a nice little place called Cocobelle Resort about two blocks from the beach. It was a lovely, warm, sunny afternoon, and we walked along the oceanfront strip, looking for souveniers.
Late Sunday afternoon at Ft. Lauderdale Beach
We still had time to go for a swim before sunset. The beach at Sebastian is pretty well eroded and steep, and there were a quite few jelly fish in the water; but we stayed safe and had a good time splashing around in the golden light of a late Atlantic beach afternoon.
